Three Real Madrid Stars Missed, Another Returns Against Arsenal

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has announced his squad for the first leg of the 2025 UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal.

The squad included the good news of Thibaut Courtois’ return after missing the international break due to injury, confirming his full fitness for the match at the Emirates Stadium.

However, Andriy Lunin was confirmed absent due to injury, despite Ancelotti’s previous confirmation that work was underway to prepare him for the match.

Dani Ceballos had returned to Real Madrid training after nearly two months out due to injury, but Ancelotti chose not to risk him and left him out of the squad for the Arsenal match.

Alongside Lunin and Ceballos, Ferland Mendy will also be absent, joining Dani Carvajal and Éder Militao on the list of absentees.
