According to the latest report, Flick’s salary with Barcelona will be less than Xavi’s salary, which ranges between 7 to 8 million euros annually.
Flick is aware of the economic crisis that Barcelona is suffering from, and because of his great desire to train Barcelona, before receiving a salary less than Xavi’s salary.
But at the same time, the German placed a clause in the contract under which he would receive huge rewards if he succeeded in leading Barcelona to win championships next season.
This step is considered a great sacrifice by Flick, whose salary with the German national team exceeded 10 million euros annually, and he could have earned the same number or higher if he had coached one of the English Premier League clubs.
For a coach who achieved the historic sextuple with Bayern Munich, a salary that will not exceed 5 or 6 million euros is not large, which shows the extent of Flick’s obsession with working in Barcelona.
