Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet scored a world-class goal for the Egyptian national team against Mauritania in the third round of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Mauritania played in a purely defensive manner and closed the spaces in Egypt’s face, and goalkeeper Mamadou Diop was one of the stars of the match.
In the 69th minute, Trezeguet succeeded in deciphering the Mauritanian defenses, after a cross bounced back to him inside the penalty area, and he shot the ball on the fly into Diop’s net, which was unstoppable and unanswered.

Egypt will meet Mauritania again next Tuesday, but at the latter’s stadium, and if the Pharaohs win, they will officially qualify for the “CAN” scheduled to be held in Morocco.
