La Liga has announced the date of the Clásico between Real Madrid and Barcelona, scheduled for the 35th round of La Liga.
Real and Barcelona will first meet on April 26 at La Cartuja Stadium in the Copa del Rey final.
According to La Liga’s statement, the league match between Real and Barcelona will be played on Sunday, May 11, exactly two weeks after the Copa del Rey final.
The match will be played at an unusually early time, kicking off at 5:15 PM Mecca time at the Luis Companys Olympic Stadium.
This La Liga Clásico will be the fourth clash between the teams of Carlo Ancelotti and Hansi Flick, having met in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabéu, with Barça winning 4-0, and then in the Super Cup final in Saudi Arabia, with Barcelona also winning 5-2.
It is noteworthy that Barcelona leads the La Liga standings with 70 points, 4 points ahead of the defending champion, Real Madrid.
