The European Football Association announced the team of the week in the fourth round of the Champions League league stage.
The fourth round witnessed many surprises, the most important of which was Real Madrid’s second defeat this season in the competition at the hands of Milan.
Perhaps the lineup announced by UEFA was surprisingly absent from any Barcelona player despite the 5-2 win over Red Star.
Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyökeres topped the lineup after scoring a hat-trick in Manchester City, along with Liverpool star Luis Diaz, who also scored a hat-trick but in Bayer Leverkusen.
Goalkeeper Mike Maignan’s brilliance at the Santiago Bernabeu was enough to secure a place in the lineup, while Alphonso Davies and Molina were on the wings and Hien and Kehrer were in the heart of the defense.
