Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk has made his final decision about his future with the Reds amid strong interest from Saudi league clubs to secure his services.
Saudi media have linked the Dutch star with a move to Al-Nassr, who are ambitious to bolster their defense with another world-class defender alongside Aymeric Laporte.
In recent days, it has been said that Van Dijk is open to a move to Al-Nassr, but a report from HITC Sport has denied this categorically.
According to the report, the 33-year-old has informed Liverpool’s management that he wants to stay at Anfield and is even looking to extend his contract with the English club.
Van Dijk’s contract expires at the end of next season, and it seems he would be open to a pay cut in order to stay for another two years with his favorite club.
On the other hand, Liverpool are keen to keep their captain for as long as possible, especially as manager Arne Slot has stressed his importance both on and off the pitch.
