Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior confirmed that he has no intention of leaving the royal club, no matter what offers are on his table.
Vinicius’ statements came after the important victory achieved by the Merengue against Manchester City 3-2 in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 play-off.
Vinicius was asked about the Saudi offers presented to him and what was said about his rejection of the first offer presented by Real Madrid to renew.
The Brazilian international responded by saying, “We are in talks for a new contract, my desire is clear and is to continue with Real Madrid for a long time.”
He also added, “I want to make history with Real Madrid, I have always wanted to continue here for a longer period.”
He concluded, “I hope that we will reach an agreement in the coming days and my long-term stay here will be certain.”
The Spanish media had indicated that the dispute between Vinicius and Real is over the salary, as the 23-year-old wants his salary to exceed Kylian Mbappe’s.
