Vinicius Junior Spoils Negotiations with Saudi League Club

Negotiations with a Saudi League club for Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior have stalled due to a condition insisted upon by the Brazilian international.

Spanish media reported that the player had received a historic offer worth €1 billion over five seasons in Saudi Arabia.

It was reported that Vinicius was already considering the offer and had decided to postpone consideration until the end of the Club World Cup. However, developments suggest that the player will not leave Real Madrid.

Cadena Cope reported that Vinicius had stipulated that his move to the Saudi League would be for only two years, not the five-year contract previously offered.

However, the Saudi club he was negotiating with—whose identity has not been revealed—completely rejected the idea and insisted on the Real Madrid star moving on a long-term contract to become the core of the Saudi project in the future.

Negotiations subsequently faltered, and parallel negotiations began between Vinicius and Real Madrid to renew the player’s contract, which runs until the summer of 2027.

Real Madrid still wants to keep Vinicius, but an agreement between the two parties is still far off due to the 24-year-old’s desired salary (€20 million per year).
