Vinicius Junior failed to score a penalty kick, causing Brazil to draw 1-1 with host Venezuela in the eleventh round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The Barcelona star scored Brazil’s first goal from a wonderful free kick, before Segovia equalized for Venezuela and then the Samba country began a flood to score the winning goal.
In the 60th minute, Brazil won a penalty kick, but Vinicius Junior shot a weak ball that was saved by the Venezuelan goalkeeper, and he also failed to convert the rebound into the goal and wasted it as well.
This is the first penalty kick that Vinicius has missed this season, knowing that he shot 3 kicks with Real Madrid, all of which he scored successfully.

This draw is historic by all standards for Venezuela, as it is the first in the history of “Al-Annabi” on its home ground against Brazil after 9 consecutive defeats.
In general, it is the first time that Venezuela has drawn with Brazil in both home and away matches in the World Cup qualifiers.
Perhaps what explains the poor state of the Brazilian team is that in 11 rounds, it won only 5 times and stumbled 6 times, with two draws against Venezuela and 4 other defeats.
Brazil reached 17 points in third place in the qualifiers, while Venezuela reached 12 points in seventh place qualifying for the global play-off.
