There is no doubt that the Egyptian club Wadi Degla is the happiest ever with Omar Marmoush’s transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt to Manchester City.
The solidarity clause, according to FIFA regulations, stipulates that City will pay 5% of the deal’s value to the clubs that trained Marmoush during the period from his twelfth to his twenty-third year.
During that period, Marmoush was active in 3 clubs: Wadi Degla in Egypt, Wolfsburg, St. Pauli and Stuttgart.
The value of Marmoush’s transfer deal to City, including variables, is 80 million euros, and accordingly, the value of the solidarity contribution will be estimated at about 4 million euros, equivalent to 207.6 million Egyptian pounds.
Since Marmoush was active in Wadi Degla from the age of 12 to 18, Wadi Degla will receive 2 million euros from his transfer from Frankfurt to City, which is more than 100 million Egyptian pounds.
The remaining 4 million will be distributed to Wolfsburg, St. Pauli and Stuttgart, noting that the first will have the largest share, then Stuttgart, while the northern club’s share will not exceed 300 thousand euros.
