Wenger: Salah deserves the Ballon d’Or

Legendary coach Arsene Wenger believes that Mohamed Salah cannot be excluded from the list of candidates to win the Ballon d’Or in 2025, given what he offers with Liverpool.

Salah scored a goal and made another in the Reds’ 2-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday, and Wenger spoke in the analytical studio about his amazement at what the Egyptian international offers.

The former Arsenal coach said, “I read that he contributed to 38 goals and decided about 31 points for Liverpool this season, you cannot exclude him from any award.”

He also added, “Salah is an exceptional player, and what I loved about his career is that he becomes better in every match than the previous one, in every season he develops and becomes better than the previous one.”

He continued, “When Salah was playing and I was the coach of Arsenal, he created 6 chances and scored one, but this season he created two chances and scored them, he found the balance between the obsession with scoring and creating.”

“Mane’s departure helped him, they were competing to score goals and showing some selfishness, but now Salah is helping and contributing to scoring,” he concluded.

Salah has contributed 51 goals in all competitions this season with Liverpool, and is the Premier League’s top scorer with 25 goals, 6 goals ahead of the closest pursuers Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland.
