A feeling is growing within Barcelona that the El Clásico match against Real Madrid was Frenkie de Jong’s last in a Blaugrana shirt, as he is about to be sold next summer.
De Jong participated in the first half of El Clásico before suffering a sprained ankle and was substituted, making it clear that he would not participate in any of Barça’s remaining six matches this season.
According to the Relivo network, Barcelona’s management has many doubts about De Jong’s sporting feasibility, and his high salary represents a burden on the Blaugrana’s coffers.
Added to the above is the fact that the player’s injuries increased to the limit, as this season alone he missed 20 matches due to 3 different injuries.
Although De Jong himself would like to continue at Barcelona, the club is strongly inclined to dispense with his services and earn an amount ranging from 60 to 70 million euros.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are among the most interested in obtaining the signature of the 26-year-old, in addition to some English clubs that make paying an amount like what Barca wants possible.
