The Italian newspaper “Tuttosport” revealed that a new player has captured the heart of Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez and has become a target for the club in the coming period.
This player is AC Milan star Tijani Reynders, whom Perez views as the ideal option to bolster Real Madrid’s midfield and replace Toni Kroos at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Pérez believes that Real Madrid’s midfield has been in crisis since Kroos’ departure, and there is a need to bring in a player with the same qualities as the German, especially after his impact was evident after his departure this season.
Pérez had hoped for Dani Ceballos, but the player’s frequent injuries led the Madrid president to consider other options, and he settled on the 26-year-old Reynders.
Reynders has been in impressive form for Milan this season, scoring 13 goals and providing four assists. His contract with Milan runs until the summer of 2030.
Real Madrid is primarily trying to lure the Dutch player with his salary, as he earns only €3.2 million per year with Milan. If he moved to the Spanish capital, he could easily earn double that amount.
It should be noted that Reynders is on the radar of other major European clubs, particularly in England, with Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal reportedly among the clubs being mentioned.
