One of the Hungarian national team players became the talk of millions of football fans after his participation as a substitute in the Switzerland match in the Euro 2024 competition.
This player appeared to be overweight, unusual for a player in a competition the size of the Euro, making many wonder about his identity and where he plays.
The player is Martin Adam, he is 29 years old and, numerically speaking, he is one of the best Hungarian strikers of the last decade.
Adam currently plays for the Ulsan team in South Korea, and this season he scored 8 goals and made another in 20 matches in all tournaments.
Looking at Adam’s career, he scored 31 goals with Vassas of Hungary from 2013 to 2019 and made 22 others, and with Kaposvár he scored 14 goals, while his peak of brilliance was with Paksi from 2020 to 2022, by scoring 39 goals.
Since joining Ulsan in the summer of 2022 for 1.2 million euros, he has scored 24 goals in 67 matches, in addition to assisting 9 other goals.
Adam has a not bad career with the Hungarian national team, as his participation against Switzerland was his 21st match with his country, and he scored only 3 goals in his international career.
It is noteworthy that Hungary lost the match with Switzerland 3-1, leaving it tied with Scotland in last place in the first group standings of Euro 2024.
