Will Al-Ahly dismiss Marcel Koller after the defeat to Belouizdad?

Al-Ahly fans have increased their demands for urgent administrative intervention to resolve the crisis of declining results, and the demands have reached the point of raising the idea of dismissing coach Marcel Koller.

The Red Devils were defeated by Shabab Belouizdad 1-0 in the African Champions League, and before that, they failed to achieve victory over Enppi, and even escaped a certain defeat in the last moments in the Egyptian League.

With the decline in results, it was said that some voices within the Al-Ahly administration began to rise regarding the fact that the team needs a real and tangible change in the technical management and consequently the dismissal of Koller.

Sources from within Al-Ahly told the media that Al-Ahly President Mahmoud Al-Khatib will hold a stormy meeting with Koller to discuss the reasons for the decline and determine the winter deals and those leaving the team in the coming weeks.

However, Al-Khatib does not intend in any way to dismiss Koller, and will clearly inform him that the administration supports him and not to pay attention to what the newspapers publish as anger towards him.

The president believes that Koller is doing a good job and controlling the team well, and that the recent decline happens to any team, so he is not convinced that dismissing the Swiss coach is the solution to the crisis.

It is worth noting that Koller has complained more than once about not receiving the support he requested last summer, in addition to the injuries that have hit the team, and he considered this to be one of the most important reasons for Al-Ahly’s recent decline.
