Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola stressed that he does not plan to leave coaching the English team in the coming period of his career.
Guardiola’s contract with City still extends until the summer of 2025, and he previously announced that he was open to continuing in his position for a longer period.
The Spanish coach’s answer came in response to a question posed by a journalist that City fans might realize his value when he leaves the Etihad Stadium.
Guardiola said when asked, “My value? I don’t want to leave Manchester City at all.”
There were some expectations that Guardiola might leave City soon, given Jurgen Klopp’s departure from Liverpool and the extent of its impact on the Spanish coach’s personal goals.
Guardiola took over as City coach in 2016 and succeeded in achieving many titles, most notably the historic treble last season.
