Will Manchester United manage to get rid of their “failed signing” this summer?

Manchester United player Antony’s agent has announced that his client will not leave Old Trafford under any circumstances during the current summer transfer window.

English media outlets, citing sources within United, have reported that the English club intends to loan out Antony and get rid of him this summer after his very poor performance last season.

In response, Antony’s agent said: “Everything that is being said about Antony leaving United on loan is completely untrue.”

He added: “Antony’s plan is clear, which is to continue with Manchester United. He is only focused on that and we have already spoken to the club about this matter.”

The Brazilian international joined United two seasons ago in a record-breaking deal of around 100 million euros, but he has only scored 11 goals and made 5 assists in 82 appearances in all competitions.

The 24-year-old’s contract with the Red Devils runs until the summer of 2027, making it difficult for him to leave given that he will not receive his current salary at any other club.
