Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada has ended the controversy surrounding Erik ten Hag’s future and the possibility of his dismissal due to the club’s poor start to the season.
United managed to win hard against Fulham in the first round, then suffered two defeats against Brighton and Liverpool, which led to a wave of severe criticism.
The British media began to spread news that Ten Hag’s future is at stake and that he may be dismissed and that Ruud Van Nistelrooy will replace him temporarily.
Berrada responded to this news by saying, “We fully believe that Erik ten Hag is the right coach for the Manchester United project and he has our 100% support.”
United renewed Ten Hag’s contract before the start of the season, and Berrada said about this, “This decision was made before I arrived at the club, but I am very happy with it.”
“Obviously we support Eric, we have worked together in the transfer market and I am very optimistic about the future and I have absolute conviction that things will be fine soon,” he concluded.
