Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior raised concerns after he missed training on Friday, hours before Real Madrid’s La Liga match against Villarreal.
Vinicius left the Champions League match against Atletico Madrid in extra time at his own request due to fatigue and his refusal to take a penalty.
Spanish media reported that Vinicius is suffering from a muscle discomfort that makes his participation against Villarreal a doubt.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti responded to this in his press conference on Friday and confirmed Vinicius’s full fitness for the match against the Submarines.
The Italian coach said, “He has some fatigue, but he will be available against Villarreal and fully fit. There are no injuries.”
Regarding his performance against Atletico, he said, “For us, Vinicius is an unparalleled player. He can have good or bad matches and moments.”
He concluded, “Even if he hasn’t performed well at times, and even if he has failed, he has been so important to this club that I can’t argue with that.”
It’s worth noting that Vinicius has made 38 appearances for Real Madrid this season, scoring 18 goals and providing 11 assists.
