Will Zizo and Ibrahim Adel participate in the match between Egypt and Morocco?

Egypt’s Olympic team doctor, Tarek Soliman, has confirmed that the duo Ahmed Sayed Zizo and Ibrahim Adel are fit to participate in the bronze medal match against Morocco.

Zizo suffered an injury in the Paraguay match but played 120 minutes against France, while Ibrahim Adel was unexpectedly substituted in the match against the French amid rumors of an injury.

There were growing doubts that Zizo’s old injury had returned after the great effort he had exerted, and that Adel, the Pharaohs’ top scorer at the Paris Olympics, might not participate against Morocco as well.

Tarek Soliman responded in media statements saying, “Zizo suffered from muscle fatigue but he is fine and played the France match and can also participate against Morocco without a problem.”

He added, “There is no truth to what is being said about Ibrahim Adel having an injury, I confirm that all of Egypt’s players are in good condition and can participate.”

He concluded, “The only exception is Ahmed Eid, I refuse his participation in the match against Morocco although he requested it from Mikali, he is still suffering from a hamstring tear and needs another 4 days to recover.”

The Egyptian national team is seeking to win its first-ever team medal in the history of the Nile country in team sports when it meets Morocco on Thursday at La Beaujoire stadium.
