According to the newspaper “Sport”, Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams has informed Paris Saint-Germain officials that he is rejecting their offer to sign him this summer.
According to the report, Williams’ desire remains the same: to stay with Bilbao or move to Barcelona, even despite the huge financial offer he recently received from Paris Saint-Germain.
At the same time, the “Cadena SER” network says that Barcelona’s management has given Williams a final deadline to make his final decision regarding the Catalans’ offer.
Barcelona will wait for Williams’ final answer by August 12 at the latest, which is the day he will return to training with Athletic Bilbao after the end of his vacation.
The Spanish media had previously said that the most likely scenario so far is for Williams to continue with Bilbao, but Barcelona’s attempts to dissuade him from this desire do not stop.
The 22-year-old will cost the Blaugrana treasury 58 million euros, which is the value of the release clause in his contract with Bilbao.
There is no conflict between the signing of Williams and the signing of Dani Olmo, as the Blaugrana management will continue their attempts to sign both players together or the Leipzig star alone as a worst-case scenario.
