With a controversial goal.. Bayern Munich escapes defeat against Dortmund

Bayern Munich avoided their first domestic defeat this season, after they managed to draw with Borussia Dortmund 1-1 in the 12th round of the Bundesliga.

The advantage was clear for Dortmund in the first half, and was translated into a wonderful goal scored by Jimmy Gittens in the 27th minute.

The first half also saw Harry Kane leave injured, as did Dortmund defender Waldemar Anton.

In the second half, Dortmund retreated and left the ball completely to Bayern Munich, who after strenuous attempts scored the equalizer through a header by Jamal Musiala in the 85th minute.

The Bavarian club was subjected to many criticisms on social media because of this goal, as it lacked “sportsmanship”.

The attack began with a direct free kick from the edge of the penalty area, which Leroy Sane shot powerfully and hit the head of defender Nicolas Süle.

Instead of the referee stopping play or sending the ball off to Bayern, Vincent Kompany’s side took advantage of Süle’s fall and crossed for Musiala to score.

The match eventually ended in a draw, with Bayern reaching 30 points, maintaining their unbeaten record in the Bundesliga and top spot, while Dortmund reached 20 points in fifth place.
