Lamine Yamal will become one of the highest-paid players in Barcelona, as well as in the Spanish League, when he extends his contract in the coming period with the Catalan club.
The Spanish international’s contract with the Blaugrana expires in the summer of 2027, but President Joan Laporta announced that it is a matter of time and the 17-year-old will renew for more years and will ensure his long-term stay at Camp Nou.
According to the “El Chiringuito” program, Yamal’s salary in the new contract with Barcelona will be 8 million euros after deducting taxes, meaning that the total salary will exceed approximately 16 million euros.
Thus, Yamal, despite his young age, will become the third highest-paid player in Barcelona after Robert Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong.
Next July has been set as the date for the official renewal of Yamal’s contract, specifically after July 13 when he turns 18, which is in line with Spanish labor law.
It is noteworthy that Yamal participated this season in 28 matches in all tournaments, during which he scored 10 goals and made 12 others, and led Barcelona to win the Spanish Super Cup at the expense of Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia.
