L’Equipe newspaper revealed the details of the last meeting between Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Kylian Mbappe, and how the Qatari fiercely attacked him for his decision to leave the French club.
Mbappe will move to Real Madrid on a free transfer after the end of his contract with PSG, and because of his decision, his relationship with Al-Khelaifi worsened, who has not hesitated to attack him since then.
According to the latest report, Al-Khelaifi told Mbappe that he is not a Paris legend or one of the great players because he will leave for free and will not leave money behind him, as Harry Kane did with Tottenham or Jude Bellingham with Dortmund, for example.
Al-Khelaifi considered that leaving in this manner would be a weakening of Paris and a strengthening of a direct European opponent, Real Madrid, and thus the method of departure still deeply hurts the Parisian president.
The Qatari increased the attack on the player by telling him to implement “prohibited matters” by moving to Real Madrid, as he would thus support the European Super League competition, which constitutes a major crisis for European football.
Despite all the attempts that Al-Khelaifi tried to convince Mbappe to renew and stay, his decision was decisive that he would take the next step and leave to achieve his dream of wearing the Real Madrid shirt.
