Zamalek club announced through its doctor Mohamed Osama the nature of the injury that afflicted the duo Ahmed Sayed Zizo and Mohamed Hamdi in the match against Al-Ahly Bank on Friday.
The duo were unable to complete the match, as Hamdi left between the halves due to a knee injury, and then Zizo was seen in the second half putting his hand on the hamstring muscle.
According to what Zamalek’s doctor revealed, Zizo suffers from a first-degree tear in the hamstring muscle.
Zizo needs to rest for at least two weeks and then return again to participate in Zamalek’s training.
This means that the 27-year-old will not join the Egyptian national team camp during the next international break, and that he will miss Zamalek’s next match in the league against Smouha next Friday.
As for Mohamed Hamdi, he suffers from a tear in the external ligament of the knee that also requires a two-week treatment and rehabilitation period.
The duo is expected to be fully prepared for Zamalek’s third match in the Egyptian League, scheduled for November 23 against Al-Masry after returning from the international break.
